These terms cover bookings made with Uncle Hibachi. Booking a date means you accept them.

Booking and deposit

A $50 deposit holds your date and chef. The balance is settled on the day, after the party, by cash, card or bank transfer. All parties carry a $600 minimum spend.

Cancelling or rescheduling

Cancel or reschedule more than 48 hours before your party and your deposit is refunded in full, or moved to your new date.

Inside 48 hours the deposit is non-refundable. By that point your chef is committed and ingredients have been bought for your party specifically.

If we ever cancel — chef illness, vehicle failure, anything on our side — you receive a full refund of everything paid, including the deposit.

Pricing

• Classic — $99 per person, three proteins
• Premium — $129 per person, three proteins plus an extended chef performance
• Luxury — $159 per person, lobster tail and filet mignon, fully all-inclusive
• Children 12 and under — half the adult package price ($49.50 Classic, $64.50 Premium, $79.50 Luxury)
• Children 5 and under — $5

Travel is free within 20 miles of your chef’s base. Beyond 20 miles a flat $40 travel fee applies, shown on your quote before you confirm.

Gratuity is not included and is entirely your choice. Anything you give goes directly to your chef.

Final numbers

Please confirm your final guest count at least 48 hours before. We can usually add guests on shorter notice, but we cannot reduce the charge below the count confirmed at that point, and we cannot guarantee extra portions without notice.

Where we can cook

We cook outdoors only. Open flame, smoke and steam mean we cannot cook inside a house, an apartment, or a fully enclosed structure. A covered patio, carport or open garage is fine provided air moves through it and there is clearance overhead.

You need roughly 8 by 8 feet of flat ground for the cooking station, clear of low branches, awnings and umbrellas. If the space is unsuitable on arrival and no alternative exists, the booking is treated as a cancellation inside 48 hours.

What you supply

Table and chair set-up is included with every package. Anything beyond that depends on the package you book — plates, cutlery and glassware are included on the higher tiers. Drinks are yours in every case; we do not supply alcohol.

Allergies and dietary needs

Tell us at the time of booking, per guest, and your chef will plan around it. We prepare food on a shared cooking surface, so we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

Weather

If weather makes cooking unsafe and there is no covered alternative, we will reschedule you at no charge, including inside the 48-hour window.
